cant delete save files

hi just went to start new game. after deleting the save files. when i went back in. i can only continue. and the game still remembered. my old save. i can load in that one but cant start new game, can any 1 help plz. many thanks

Turn off steam cloud sync first which is under the game's settings in the steam library, then delete the save file again. Or just press new game in menu.
