I and others have found it's easier to put the muffler on first and then the exhaust pipe. the muffler should be right beside and behind the rear left tire.

being a backyard mechanic, sometimes (manytimes) this game is harder than RL.

(Who builds a car with out any power tools or ratchet sets?)

grab it in a way so you can line it upp properly and it will snap on, easiest is to be in the pit and grabbing it so you can stand under the gastank and line it up.

Do you realize the racing headers, exhaust, and muffler cannot be mixed and matched with the stock parts?

Stock parts won't attach to the racing parts, racing parts won't attach to stock parts.

I managed to install the aftermarket exhaust headers while the stock exhaust pipe was still installed. It made it impossible to remove the exhaust. So they can be mixed and matched, but they will just break the game pretty much.

No, they can't be mix and matched. The racing headers do not attach to the stock exhaust, and the stock exhaust does not connect to the racing headers. I have not tested the mufflers, but I assume it would be a similar situation.

If it seemed stuck, you needed to undo more of the exhaust bolts. I had the same issue at first, but I then realized I forgot to undo the two exhaust-mounted bolts that connect the exhaust to the headers.

I undid every possible bolt. The exhaust would not detach. It was still attached because it was never unbolted from the stock headers.

Yeah I managed to mix and match them too. I couldn't figure out why there was such a gap between they headers and exhaust until I realised they were a set. Didn't seem to affect performance 'badly', other then visually looking ♥♥♥♥♥♥ up.

Yup. Exactly my experience. It makes a huge gap, but doesn't appear to affect it in any way.

Yeah. It did lead me to discover the 'taking the headers off to tune the carbies without the gauges'' method.without the headers the exhaust come up in the engine bay, so you tune for 'smallest white smoke' without running laps around the car.

the whole exhaust is racing ... at this point the game just need an update... the car is in the pit , with a jack to let me even more space to get it right but nothing happens. I took every pieces of the exhaust appart (maybe its the exhaust pipe going first? nop) I assemble it the RL method and I cannot find the checkmark anymore ... I spent couple of in game days trying to install this ♥♥♥♥ ... got close but the exhaust pipe was upside down so it fell .. and I cant find the sweet spot when I place the exhaust the way it should be ... the game is broken , it cant be that hard . I appreciate yall for the help tho. thanks !

i just install in any order, before and after pipe, from the rear left wheel, not jacked up, right there on the path no problems nearly everytime, once in a blue moon, it drops of the first attempt but always goes on second attempt
Mikhail Reign Nov 19, 2016 @ 7:16am
Yeah I dont get this - I knock my exhaust off all the time when I back into something, and I have no problem putting it back on again on the side of the road...

Sure you have it orrientated right?
