Fatal, What image editor are you using? GIMP? Shop?
I wouldn't count myself as qualified to edit it :d
I mean, you can't really do wrong. If you do, other people can reverse it. That's the beauty of a wiki. Anyone can edit, but anyone can also reverse, change, revise, alter, and in general, improve upon what others have done.
Now post me a clean source on that body_metallic.tex
Edit: You can also spawn the window tint in game. It shows up as a leopard steering cover and is unusable.
does the furdice thing remove the strings too? I saw someone having an issue with that.
I didn't fix the rust issue. Just the dirt along the bottom of the cars under the doors. You can still see the blemishes where the rust was. I opened the metallic tex file just to look and I had no idea where to start lol. Maybe just a blank texture with transparency will fix it. I'll have to test when i get off work.
And no, the strings remain. Dev says he will make dice optional.
yeah i downloaded the game at work (its slow) just to pull the files and take a look. I made it a blank image and it removed the blemishes but made it hot pink and removed the shine lol. I know how to fix it but it's going to take time to redo the texture. However, this will make it so even when the car is rusty, it won't show rust.
I saw the devs post about making dice optional, I just wanna use the hack in the mean time.
edit: when i make the texture black it appears to remove the shine completely. must be more to this than I can tell.

This screen shot from the side shows it with the default body_metallic.tex (you can also see that the dirt along the bottom of the side of the body is gone from another texture i edited)

Edit2: so I think what's happening here is a bug with reflections, it affects other things without my metallic tex mod.
Here's a screen with the default texture and reflections turned on. Notice the grille, bumper and side mirror are chrome. Also notice the obvious rust blemishes on the door.

Here's the same shot without reflections

Here's a similar shot with my metallic texture and reflections:

and the same shot without reflections.

not sure what to think. But it works if you turn reflections off lol
Edit 3: I fixed it! not sure how but I did it with a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ texture that I put no effort into.
Here's a link to a zip with both the metallic and rust textures

I only did the car body so some places under the hood and stuff will still have spots. I did it this lazy way because the way I did originally that would've had detailed shine left white spots all over the place and I couldn't figure out why. Doing this fixed the problem with the spots and the reflections which broke the body kit some how.
