Satsuma Paint Keeps Reverting to Brown (Updated - Solved)

When i delete the meshsave, or sometimes just restart the game, the paint on the Satsuma just reverts to this brown color that seems to keep coming back no matter what i do. I've tried a lot to troubleshoot it. It seems to only effect the stock parts and not custom parts like the Fiberglass Hood

This is an ongoing issue thats been posted around but i've seen no real answer to. Please help here

ik i got the same issue on my satsuma its an intresting prob but i dont mind having it in a stock color

And its likely the dev will never see or answer this and we'll never find a fix

No mods. i have in the past but i removed them. This started a long while after that though.

I am using a custom texture for the car, but it doesnt seem to be the cause

ah yeah i forgot that as i recently reinstalled this pc with windows 10 as my ssd was having to much junk

So a new save helps. My save might be corrupted. Im going to have to do some digging and i'll report back

not true. i've had that save since the beginning and there might be something in it thats causing this issue. a conflict. That would fit into the definition of corruption

I've been i cant find anything. It might be how the game is interacting with the save rather than how the save is interacting with the game

Update: I figured out the issue. After a lot of digging and experimentation i figured out the cause. I used MSC Editor to install parts that fell off and had gotten lost. this includes the fender pieces. Upon digging in MSC Editor, i noticed in the 'fenderleft" part theres a setting called "fenderleftpainted" and when set to true, it causes the car to turn into this brown color.

This option in the config seems to not be there on purpose and seems to be causing this issue. Turning this to 'false' should fix this.
