Car starts once, runs perfectly, then battery dies
I start the car, everything's working fine, I turn it off, it cannot turn on ever again with this battery.
happened multiple times, with brand new batteries.

No the starter isn't broken.
Yes the wiring is done.
Yes I have a fan belt and it's set properly.
Yes I checked that with the third party editor.

It's becoming annoying, please help

If you use MSCeditor to open up items.txt and take a look at the charge for battery1 or whichever it is, I found batteries in that state would read "&nand" or something like that.

If I set the battery charge to 125, it never does it again. If i set it to something higher, then again, it starts exactly once, and then had the same error.

I think there may be a bug in the alternator charging code, perhaps forcing the battery to exceed its maximum charge and making it freak out.

I'm going to do a few experiments, see if I can replicate it reliably.

MSCeditor says no
MSCeditor is not properly capable of diagnosing parts like that. Replace your alternator and wire it properly.

You can check if fan belt turning the alternator while engine is running to see alternator condition. one more thing you can see battery charge level with extra gauges before turning off engine check battery level if it is going up or down

Tes sur que ton câblage est bien fait? Essaye de remplacer l’alternateur. L’éditeur est pas la solution à tout. Essaye aussi de regarder quand ta voiture tourne si la batterie se recharge bien

Replace fan belt and alternator and rewire the alternator. I think the alternator isn't wired.

I can confirm this is actually an issue, I've had store-bought batteries report NaN capacity for me after a save. Might wanna throw it over to bug reports.

If you left your car door open and saved without the car being turned on, that is most likely why. Saving passes time, and over time, while using the lamp as your door was open, it drains your battery.
