Burning fireplace embers?

Burned a few pieces of firewood in the fireplace at the house and it left behind orange burning embers that won't go out. Is there any way to extinguish them?

Nvm solved it! I just saved and quit to the main menu and then relaunched the game.

they will die eventually (5 minutes?), the embers are for cooking meat without charring it.

I can tell you all I DONT have a pirated copy of the game. I do however family share it with another one of my accounts. Could this have something to do with the problem?

no..
there are no anti-pirating features of the game, nor does family sharing known to cause problems. consider buying the game on your own account and support the dev, though, instead of family sharing it.

There is one such feature, was implemented with the PC, connecting to the web with that in-game PC makes it download a virus that formats it making it wasted cash(the OS can't be reinstalled as there is no disk available for it). As for the embers they shouldn't cause a fire and they die out on their own, useful for cooking sausages, fish and meat.
