Installing racing flywheel is dangerous if you're careless
3/4 pistons and the crankshaft just blew up because I over-revved the engine. Do be careful with this car part. It's a bastard if you're stupid like I was.

NOS is optional tho, it can be done without it

well i am still trying and i have the racing carbs and all that i can allmost get there then i run out of room i think my car needs a rebuild havent done it since i put it together with brand new parts

Use rally tires because they have biggest diameter, I think with NOS u might be able reach 200kph at the airfield too (i've reached 150-160kph on drag strip 1/4 mile distance alone), just use all available area meaning start from the grass.

How the hell do you manage to cause this :D

I've had a hard time getting my engine to blow with the racing flywheel, other than downshifting ofc.

Guessing I f*cked up somewhere. I'm not sure why my engine blew up, I installed it like the other one, together with racing exhaust, muffler, twin carburators and racing radiator. Oil was okay and the mixture below 14.

maybe your internals were in less state than you thought?

Maybe. I'm working on buying every engine part new and trying it again.

Never had this problem. The engine will not over rev without nos activated or a mechanical overrev (shifting down too agressively). Just by installing the flywheel i have not been able to recreate this. I think it wouldnt cause this to happen in real life either as the weight of the flywheel just slows down the revving and its effect is not dependent on the rotational speed. all the force the flywheel projects to the crankshaft comes from inertia, not momentum, except for when the engine is trying to slow down

Thus the internal inertia of the engine will not cause additional total resistive force, thus it will not affect how high it can rev, only the speed at which it can do it.

Think about this this way. Air resistance does go up as your speed increases, limiting your top speed, however, if your car is lighter, you will achieve the same top speed but just more quickly. This is the very same case with the lighter flywheel

By the same logic the car would idle higher too with the lighter flywheel, which does not happen

You dont need nos to go 220 kmh. The nos was made useless once you have to change the spark timing so much that your power without nos is close to none nos produces so much power on max setting the clutch cant handle it, and when the clutch can handle it it produces so little power its not even worth it
