I was having one hell of a time with this the other night. I understand rev-matching and all, but it seemed wayyyyy too hit or miss. Low range seemed to work better than high. Needless to say, I was getting a bit frustrated.
What kills me is that, even with an H-shifter, when I downshift from say 5th to first (for example if I stall out and just go from 5 to 1) the truck automatically goes through every gear down until it hits 1.
That, and I used the Ferndale(sp?) for the first time with my steering wheel setup. I was fatigued in the red. Literally closing my eyes, about to die. Struggled with trying to get the damn thing in Reverse. Only took me about 10 mins to realize you need to be stepping on the brake, and it needs to be FULLY pressed haha. Not sure how I made it home while I was passing out on the drive.
I literally have to wait while it shifts through each gear before it will go into first again. It doesn’t show the gears as it does it, you can just hear it along with the air release. Kind of a pain.
