HELP tuning nitrous.
I have tried tuning nitrous by hand to 13.1, look at several discussions(didn't work), can some one tell me what to set the racing carbs a/f ration to in msc editor to have the top speed and nitrous? Thanks.

Best performance is when the a/f is set to 13.1. For nitrous tuning you use the distributor. First set the desired pressure at the bottle's valve, enable the nitrous, and tune it optimally with the distributor.

Have in mind that the higher you set the nitrous pressure, the weaker the engine will be running without it (since it accelerates the ignition).

N2O requires you to adjust 2 things for it to work:
-pressure on the tank
-spark timing
-air/fuel ratio

You basically have to select an amount of pressure you want to go for and spin the distributor til it works silently with nitro on. From there set the a/f ratio to your desired one with n2o turned on.

Remember that it's not an everyday drive part and that your engine will suffer from power loss without nitros on. It also eats headgasket away very quickly.

gaskets AND pistons quickly. But yeah, you have to tune the car to work with N2O, which means it wont work as well without it, because its a car without a computer, and then have to deal with the fact that it IS a limited resource and you cant live your life with the nitro on since its just gonna be depleted

Thank you all for your helpq 😀

You don't need to tune A/F ratio with the nitrous on (unless your bottle is nearly empty or N2O valve is put on very low). Just the distributor.

No. You do. Turning Nitro on changes your AFR, not to mention, if it simulates real life, you need a much richer mix

No, it only affects your AFR if your bottle is running really low or you've turned the N2O valve zero or one ticks.

For instance see this video where at 2:23 the AFR doesn't change at all when N2O is turned on: https://youtu.be/3WhYYRp9a6I?t=135

Thanks for the confirmation. Wish it acted more like IRL. Either if its just air or oxygen, the AFR should not remain the same

Have there been changes to a/f nitro behaviour?
Previously it would always make the mix richer, if that's not the case anymore then sorry for posting misleading information.
