Did you hold the ruler at the rims and not the tires?
No, i can check the tires with the ruler, but can't do with the heat gasket, my car smoke white i have to check it.
you can't check head gasket wear with the ruler, nor any other car part than the tires
So there is no way to check other part than tires... ?
No, the ruler is there just to check tire tread depth.

Ruler is only used for tyres. Engine parts will start showing signs of high wear; worn headgasket will let white smoke out of the engine.
Who the hell checks durability of engine parts with ruler? What do you want to measure? Or is it some sort of lifehack that I don't know about?

Normaly you don't need a ruler, yes, but it's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ video game
I just change my heat gasket by a new one from mechanic, but my car keep smoking white... ;(
There is no way to check durability of any part except tires, when something is about to break it will have some symptoms, smoke, squeaking, shaking, alternator has indicator, that's you know that something is about to break.

Smoke comes from the engine or from the exhaust?

From the exhaust, i see a lot of smoke in the mirror
It's not because of the gasket lol. When the gasket is f*cked - smike comes from the engine, in real life it can come from the exhaust, yes, but I haven't noticed that in the game. White smoke from the exhaust can be because of your fuel mixture ratio. In real life it could be anything, but in MSC personally I have seen white smoke only when the mixture was too lean for my car.
hmm, i'll check it again, was at 16.1, i should reduce it ?
Yes, it's too lean, keep it at optimal (on the green), ir may be a little bit too rich when you just start th engine, it's ok, it will go leaner when you will drive anyways, so if it will be for example at 14.8 on idle, when the engine just started, it will go >16.xx later anyways.
Personally I keep it at ~11.5-12.5 when engine is just started and cold and it goes up to ~14-15 when I'm on the road for 15-40 minutes in real life.
Yeah, 16.1 is a bit too much especially if it's stock.

With racing carburators, performance exhaust, headers, flywheel, etc (no nitrous) I run at about 14.7-14.8 while driving (once the car is warmed up). I have no idea if it's the best A/F ratio but it works and has good power.
