Dashboard/Gauges Help
I keep having problems installing my Dashboard and gauges, always resulting in the dash falling off as soon as the gauges are placed inside not giving me a chance to tighten them down. I've tried installing with and with out the steering wheel attached. Ive tried keeping the glovebox open and closed with the dash bolts loosened and tightened, all 4 variations did not work.i have saved/quit/rebooted the game multiple times now aswell and ive also tried assembling other parts of the car then coming back to the dash that also did not work either. At this point ive searched the old threads and whats posted above seems to be the only suggestions. just wondering if im missing something...

Wiring set up, i know it's a dumb question. but maybe it might contribute? So is the wiring set up to the gauges?

i have not reached the wiring loom yet but ive built the car this way about a dozen times now 1.engine build then to hoist
2. suspension/brakes/wheels
3. engine to car
4. exhaust/fuel tank/brake line/etc.
5. interior assemble
6. wiring
7. test drive/tune
8. body panels/hood
9. saftey
so im stuck on step 5 with the dashbaord falling out

No it doesnt matter.. How can one wire the dashboard when it's not attached?
Well that shouldn't be happening, are you 100% sure that all the bolts are tightened? Try attaching it using the editor, or with gauges already attached to it.

im sure the bolts are 100% tightened and how is the editor going to solve my problem when or if this occurs during my next play through? or when i disassemble the vehicle?

I had the same problem. I kept trying but then it fixed. You just gotta find that real sweet spot. I know, it's frustrating.

You can set it's state to attached and edit bolts to be tightened

yeah i'll probably poke around some more, as for msc editor i'd rather not cheat "my" most enjoyable part of the game but i appreciate the imput.

ended up installing the dash and relogging a couple times before the gauge panel would stay to tighten down. Only seems to work with the rpm gauge, when the clock gauge is installed it still keeps popping out
