Blown headgasket
Is headgasket supposed to blow at 30% of it's durability? It just happend and I'm a little surprised it went out this fast, the editor shows it has 30% left but also states it's in damaged state (it is reflected in game as my engine doesn't keep coolant or oil in anymore).

maybe it blows because something else is not working properly.. the valves .. the crankshaft not aligned etc.

i just made a new save and fired up my Satsu for the first time .. ran 3 seconds and then blew both .. piston and headgasket. So the parts have random wear and tear when you start a new game.

New heating rates kill the gasket in an instant now. But it is supposed to be this way.

Yeah some people recommend to go to fleetari right away to get new parts before building the satsu for the first time since the rates changed.

Hm, that new heating system might be the cause, not gonna lie I did some redlining on the highway.. I guess I gotta watch my throttle from now on :p

Meh who cares. Just redline that ♥♥♥♥ all the time. That's what cars are built for. Brake them, fix them

Well as much as I like fixing the Satsuma, I'd rather not repair everything every 30km driven. My current build lasted 130km without any repairs which obviously saved me some $ ;)

before that glorious update I could do like 400-500km without touching anything, now it looks like I'm going to replace that gasket every week

In real life a Gasket Holds several years or even for the lifetime of the car.

would make more sense if i would have to replace oil filters more often or do oil changes.
Also the Battery discharge is a bit redic too.

It is NOT THAT BAD! everybody needs to stop crying about the heating rates because they aren't as bad as everyone is saying

We play a different game then.

Yea some parts when not abused shouldn't wear much (if they wear at all). Pistons when not being pushed to their limits should last the lifetime of the engine.

i just got my car back from fleetari .. had valves done, motor tuned, final gear .. so everything you can get motor wise ..

drove to get to teimo .. 5 minutes in , driving cautious, not rev'in the engine too much or pushing the numbers ... headgasket blew ... not even the needle of the thermal gauge moved away from normal

it's just frustrating ... i hope Dev can tweak these numbers a little.
I sure could set everything to a negative wear in MSC editor but thats not how i wanna play the game :-(

I knew you would reply that way. Let's get back to this once you start real driving, not sunday excursions.

Let's get back to this when you realize that satsuma is a ♥♥♥♥♥♥ and cheap 70's economy car and even with performance parts isn't supposed to be driven "really" and also if sunday excursion includes driving on the limiter around the map with slightly modded final gear to go even faster then i don't know what real driving is
