Hole in the dashboard

What is the hole on top of the dashboard for exactly?

The rectangle-shaped hole on top of the dashboard? Thats where the wire for the extra gauges, tachometer and fuel mixture gauge leads into.

in the nissan cherry there was as ashtray placed in the hole, i guess the guys who are making MSC havent made a model for it yet as its such a small thing and they are focusing on more aparant stuff

Im going to guess canonically defrost could be optioned out on the satsuma Amp/lx/GT but was not hence the hole where the heat vent should go.

Also i do know irl that is where a glasses holder and or ash tray would go. But this is Finland real world rules don't apply hear
