WHY ISN'T THIS ON THE STEAM SUMMER SALE?
(Freeze Frame) Hey its me, just a 12 year old boy who spent $15 of his hard earned money on this game. You're probably wondering how I got here. Well, last summer I had awoken on a hot summers day, I looked at the date, it was the start of the summer sale! I had been wanting to buy this game called "My Summer Car", it is all that I had been saving up for since the last steam sale. I worked night and day just to save up enough to get this amazing game, but I ended up coming a little short. I had only made about $12 during that time. You see, when I first saw this game it had reminded me of growing up and working on cars with my dad. I would visit him every summer. The first car that we had worked on together was a 94' purple camaro and the second I saw that car I had instantly fallen in love with it. My dad had taken me for a ride in it that day and I can just remember the feeling of the car and the wind brushing up against sides of it. It was a good day. When we had gotten back home I had asked my dad to take me for another ride in it, but he said "Not today, but maybe next summer, son." I had frowned and he noticed so he told me that next summer will come soon enough. The days went on, I went back to my moms at the end of summer. I would always call my dad to remind him about the promise he had made. Then more days had passed and I tried calling him but he didn't pick up this time. My mom had told me not to worry and that he will probably call me back when he's not busy. That was the thing no one realized at first, that he wasn't busy, something else had happened to him.
My Dad worked at a landscaping business. It was a very physical job and he had been getting old. On the day that I called him tree had fallen on him and had seriously injured his back. My dad had always been a workaholic. If he didn't have a new project going he would go insane, and with his back being hurt, there wasn't much he could do. As time went on the doctors kept putting him on more and more painmeds until one day he had a heart attack. I remember that day vividly because I was on steam playing some games with my friends when I got the call that he was in the hospital, but I when I was told that I was thinking that nothing bad will happen and that he won't leave me without giving me that final ride in the camaro. But I was wrong. Later that day I saw my sister and brother pull into the driveway and I knew at that moment that my dad didn't make it. It was a hard day. I didn't want to do anything but sit there and mourn. The days turned into weeks and the weeks turned into months, until I had one of my friends told me about this game.
At first I was skeptical, but then I saw the trailer and all the customization and mechanics to the game that I knew this was the perfect game for me. Thats when I started working day and night to get this game. At first I asked my mom for $15, but she told me to get a job, so thats what I did. I was walking downtown when this really nice guy aproached me from one of the dark alleys. He had said that he was looking for more workers for his sweat shop and of coarse I had agreed right then and there because I knew this was the perfect oppurtunity to make some quick cash to buy this game. I had worked there for a couple months until one day a bunch of cops came in and had closed it down. Which sucked because I had only come up with about $12 at that time. Then I remembered that steam always has summer sales so I waited for it to come because why wouldn't "My Summer Car" be on sale for the steam summer sale. This brings us back to the begining of my story. The game wasn't on sale, it was still $15. I had asked my mom if I could get $3 more so I could afford but she said I have to do chores for one year. Thats what I did. Now I'm here and I can finally buy the game but I realized that it wasn't on sale this year either. This finally brings me back to the original question. Why isn't this game on sale for the Steam Summer Sale?

This game won't be put on sale until it comes out of early access.

Even if for some reason it was on sale it wouldn't be that much different in price being that it is made by an solo indie developer it'd likely see at most a 15% sale which would mean it would still cost $12.75.

And if it weren't in early access the price would almost certainly be more than $15 even with a sale.

tl;dr

The F.A.Q. states that there are no planned sales until it leaves Early Access. Have patience.

its still worth of paying 15€ for the game

This story is one of the most stupid things I've read in a while, and I read a lot of stupid ♥♥♥♥. Maybe that's why it lacks paragraphs, to ensure no one else will bother trying to read it.

As said above, the game won't be on sale until release. Get a job, you could've earned the money in the time you used to write that crap.

Don't fall for this lol.

He has a family account sharing him the game, if he didn't he wouldn't be able to post here at all because of the permissions layer in the (owners) sub discussions.

♥♥♥♥ off, that's literally worse than piracy as far as the developer getting paid.

I don't think Dayz means there's any problem with playing through family share, it's a completely fine and legit way to play a game. The issue is that this guy has access to the game already but is whining about it not being on sale.

Yes, and I assume(d?) he was begging for another copy of a game that he already owns.
