Electrical fire?
After I got the car started for the first time I was letting it warm up before test driving it. I got out to check the lights and the headlights were not working. I took the battery out to check the wiring and everything looked okay, but when I was tightening the bolts on the battery terminals the main harness connecter at the fire wall started sparking and then caught fire. What do you think could have caused this?

I know right away that the fire wasn't caused by the headlights. You actually missed 2 connections for the headlights that are hidden behind the headlights. That wouldn't start a fire though.

As for the wiring catching on fire, I haven't heard about it nor seen it so I don't know. Possibly it sparked and you had a bolt loose on the carb, thus leaked a little fuel which caught on fire. It's a possiblity.

Connect the positive wire to the battery then connect the ground wire. Or, you know set fire to your car. I'm not your mom, do what you want ;)

If you connect the battery the wrong way around you get fire.

It's not that advanced in game, he just connected the battery bolts in a wrong order

Loosen the outside bolt of your starter.
