Car keeps going into neutral at random intervals
Okay I may have been tearing my hair out trying to find out what the hell is causing this!!

First and foremost gear shifting is fine on all other vehicles so I don't think it's my controller firstly...

Now for the game itself, I've gone over the car like 6 times now:

the gearbox is all screwed in (6 bolts (7mm?), 1 10mm)
the gear linkage is screwed (3 5mm bolts)
Clutch lining is screwed (2 7mm)
Clutch master cylinder? (2 8mm, 1 9mm on clutch pedal)
Gearstick is secure (3 (7mm?))

I've even gone into a desperate measure of checking every single damn screw in every part of the engine assembly but nothing is loose, I assure you.

My only question is is it a tuning problem?? I've left that as it comes straight from creating the new save, or maybe git gud at driving??

Also about the actual gear problem, it will always happen at different intervals, sometimes I'll set off in gear 1 just fine, sometimes it's a horror to start it going, other times I'll barrel it down in gear 2/3/4 etc. And randomly go back to neutral??

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

EDIT: oh and all the fluids are full, found no sign of leakage whatsoever.

Have you had the gearbox repaired? It may be going but im not sure I haven't had a gearbox break in game but just an idea.

Nope, might be an idea to drag it's ass over to fleetaris though, I've had enough of its nightmares that it likes to give me

That is what I am thinking. Remove the gear box and buy a new one from the mechanic. It is pricey at around 2200 marks though.

Dawwww good thing I had a kilju delivery and log delivery waiting to go all this time, Guess I'll do that for ze dollars then I'll see what fleetari does to it

You properly know this. But i will say it anyway.

Remember to take the gearbox out, because Fleetari don´t fix parts thats fitted to the car.

You know about new parts right? You have to have the broken part removed from your car and new ones will spawn in his shop for purchase. They will be 90-99% in condition.
ColdSpark Mar 8, 2018 @ 6:46pm
That's fine, I've removed and got it ready to go in the van, sadly I'm too tired to do it tonight (it's 2:45am lol) So that should hopefully do the trick.

Thanks for all your help everyone!! It was kind of obvious that it was broken but meh, guess I can be a bit square sometimes 😂

EDIT: would be nice if there was a way of checking condition of parts...

You can check the values if you have the MSC editor. The condition of the parts are listed as “wear(name of the part)”. Close to 0 is bad and close to 100 is good.

the problem is NOT the gearbox, normally it is solved by adjusting the gearshift nuts, if you do not adjust correctly the three nuts the car will continue giving problems, normally this problem happens when we use the GT center console because this gearshift has a nut in the back

There´s no way of adjusting the gearshift.
The three nuts at the gearbox end, you are talking about, should only be fasten down. And the linkage can´t be moved around.
