Run poorly on decent pc
My specs:
i5 6402p
GTX 1060 3GB
8GB ram
230+ space left

The game runs extremely poorly with these graphics and requirement level, from all graphics options off at s h i t t y, to all graphics options on at goldeneye Vsync settings get me 40 fps on this game just driving on the trail. Rainbow six siege runs 100+ on almost all maps. How can this game run poorly on my PC.

Core count is irrelevent as MSC is only capable of using one or two threads.

40fps? Congratulations. You've beat at least 50% of users.

This game doesn't run well on great hardware. Being able to run other games at max settings is not a comparison here. My specs run it at 60fps most of the time, but often drops to 40, or even down to high 20s. It's the nature of a game that can't be optimized any more than it already is.

My specs:
AMD FX8370
GTX 970
16GB DDR3
Way too many HDD's and SSD's to specy, but it's plenty and unrelated to FPS.

i get 60fps when satsuma not builded
40fps when satsuma builded

AMD FX8350
GTX 1050 2gb
8GB DDR3

I think a lot of people have taht issue. I don't.

AMD FX6300 3.5Ghz
GTX 960 2GB
8GB DDR3

the game only uses 1 or 2 cpu cores and is run like 70% off the cpu and not the gpu.
Your i5 is whats causing the problem im afraid and thats why other games run fine but this dosent for you

i get a solid 60 fps on my 8700k and 16g ram an my old 980ti

I agree with others above. This game is VERY cpu dependent, and I also noticed a massive (~20fps) drop after the satsuma is built, in paticular, wiring.

The other massive culprit for low fps is if you have alot of items floating around like empty containers, food packages, even beer cases have an impact.

Best way to resolve that is take what you dont need and dump them at the landfill in the pit (the one by the 2nd lamp post). Anything put in here is deleted/removed from the map on game save/load.

I had the game run on several PCs with similiar results.

AMD FX 6300 overclocked to 4ghz
MSI R9 290
16gb DDR3
30-57fps

AMD Phenom II x6 1055t overclocked to 3,3ghz
Sapphire Radeon hd 7970
16gb DDR3
25-47fps

Intel Pentium G2120 3.1ghz
Sapphire radeon hd 4890
16gb DDR3
18-46fps

note here the 4890 was constantly at 100% so there was quite bottleneck

Not really. Maybe I'm lucky, but it seems I've always had decent framerates with MSC, as well as many other games where people with allegedly-better systems have bogged. I had framerates around 40 FPS at 1920*1080 Goldeneye with a G3258 (3.2GHz dual-core) and GTX465. My current i5-4460 is also only 3.2 GHz yet I manage to keep it well above 40 FPS 90% of the time.

I don't think my GTX1050Ti is the reason since OP has a 1060, and 8GB of DDR3-1600 RAM isn't great by today's standards. The only thing I can think of is my 512GB SSD, but that doesn't make much sense since, like most game engines, Unity relies more on calculations (CPU/GPU) than transfer speeds.

The Satsuma and excess clutter do lower my framerates like everyone else here. That's why I don't always run a solid 60 FPS; only most of the time.

It's weird.. I get around 35fps, but my graphics load and cpu load never goes over about 50%. Yes, I do monitor each core seperately.. All 6 cores are almost exactly equally loaded. None are maxxed out.

Oh, and I just checked. MSC uses 40 threads. At least when running on my machine anyway.

6 cores, 40 threads. Interesting! :steammocking:

The madman must be running msc on an i9...

I only get like 30 fps with a Ryzen 7 5700G and a RTX 3060 12gb of VRAM and 16 gb of RAM
