Wiring help please, Satsuma won't start
Hi all, recently got My Summer car finally working properly by installing it on to my SSD.. Anywho won't go in to that.
Got the car together, followed the wiring mess guide, made every connection I can find (including the bolt on starter motor ones) Put a new battery from the store in it, and nothing. No lights, no cranking. I even install MSC editor just to force fix everything, Still nothing. One time after removing and reinstalling the battery I got a flicker of the red ignition light for half a second. Help! I have almost run out of hair to pull out!

When you put the battery on the charger what does the needle on the charger do?

It reads low amps, Which if its like a real charger that means the battery is charged doesn't it?

If the needle goes to the fully right, the battery is flat, no power on it.

Mine WAS mostly left.. but I just pulled it out of the car and put it back on the charger and now the needle is all the way right again, So I left it on charge for a full game day while I went out pumping sewage, come back and its still all the way to the right :(

Batteries are still buggy as hell. Either buy a new one, or use MSCeditor, open the items file, check the charge level, maximum charge, and discharge rate figures.

The charge and maximum charge seem to be voltage/10, so you want maximum charge about 140, charge about 130. Discharge rate should be very low, like 0.0003 for a new battery.

I bought 2 new batteries, one stays on charge, other goes in the car. Swap as needed.

There is something in your car that is killing the battery them, draining it fully (which ruins it). Did you connect the wire to alterator? I forgot that one and it killed my battery. Although I managed to start the car and run it for a few minutes.

Leaving the car door open and then saving the game wrecks the battery. The interior light comes on and stays on when the door is open. Save the game and it flattens the battery hard enough to wreck it.

Ought to be on a timer, or manual only.

So I edited the battery voltage in MSC editor on the battery that wouldn't charge, put it in the car and now it all works, gotta love those My Summer Car quirks.. Thanks for the help guys!
