Car starts, looses rpm slowly and stalls
I have had a problem with the car where the RPM slowly drops when the car starts, i have tuned the carb to 14.0 and i use the choke. For the car not to stall, i have to keep it reved and then put it into gear and move off, but the car seems to jolt about 3 to 4 times and then start moving steadily. To conclude, the car is very slow to accelerate and when it idles below 14.0 it slowly drops in revs and stalls. Any help?

Do it yourself

Valve tuning:
Have the car running/idleing, remove rocker cover, turn a valve screw clockwise until it starts to tick, then turn back so ticking sound stops, repeat this on other screws(total of 8 screws). After this put cover back on and add more oil.

Carbed cars idle at very low RPM when cold.

did you tune it to 14 when the car was warm? doing it when its cold will be bad

warm the engine and tune carb to 13.1. best power curve and no choke needed.. not great on fuel though.

I tuned the carb when it was warm (the needle was about halfway) but I have another save where the car works fine with the carb tuned at 14.0

Are the valves tuned?

If u dont use sim wheel with clutch pedal to play this game then u just have to give more throttle(full?) while doing the shift from neutral to 1st to prevent the stalling.

no, but would that be the problem?

Valve tune matters, if they dont open&close in correct time the car is lacking some power/torque.

Mine does that too, as do several old cars I've been in IRL. However I like the untuned satsuma engine as it suits my driving style. Pump your clutch (X key) and tap the accelerator to keep your revs up until you get moving, don't be afraid to peelout the wheels. Good strategy for the Ruskco as well.
