- alternator broken
- alternator wire not connected
- some other wire you forgot somewhere
- engine rpm to low to charge
- alternator on it's way out.
This also happens while driving, so it's not due to low rpm.
There should be a wire connected to the rear of the alternator.
Also, have you purchased new parts at Fleetari or have you assembled the parts that where in the garage at the start of the game? Because those parts worn out, they will make the car run and drive for a while but not for long. It could the that it's just the alternator is broken.
EDIT:
I quickly checked your save. You need to adjust the fanbelt, see: https://my-summer-car.fandom.com/wiki/Alternator
Also, consider getting a new rockershaft in the near future, it's very bad.
But I DID adjust the alternator, why did that work for you? I'll try it again
I adjusted the fanbelt again. Loosened it until it started squeeling than tightened it one scroll and thightened the screw. The red light is still on.
I tried it the other way around, too. Loosened the belt all the way tightened it until it stoppped squeeling, fixed it in place, still nothing.
