When testing electric things, you really need the engine running, to maintain the battery charge.
1) the stock, old battery discharges very fast, and once you're done with the car, it is done as well
2) usually the first battery bought from Teimo is bugged (look at the currentcharge value for that one in items.txt file)
You can do two things to avoid it:
- the very first thing you do when you start a new save is to put the battery next to the charger in order to not let it deteriorate and be ready when the car is assembled
- if you don't like the stock battery and the new one doesn't work, use msc editor to change currentcharge to 120.
And there you go.
It's very likely it can break things and it might now show everything that could be wrong.
The original car parts are always in pretty bad condition and they will break down quickly. A couple of runs to the store and some joyriding is all you usually get on the first build before something reach the point of failure.
It's like that because the game is all about building the car and to figure out what parts are breaking by the signs the car gives.
If the car don't start you have to figure out why.
Nothing when you turn key? Battery or wiring.
Lights go on but motor don't? Is the wiring to the starter properly done? There is a screw you must losen up before you can do both the wires for example.
Does it give sounds when you try to start it? Then it's other things. MSC wiki will give you some good advice to troubleshoot the car.
Same by me. Use msc editor to testing after fix parts and ♥♥♥♥. Satsuma do nothing (save bugd)
100 % any changes with msc editor and your save is bug!
Dont use it to Change ♥♥♥♥.
I don't have it fix, install, tune, or replace anything on the car.
For me this whole game is about managing, building, and maintaining my car.
If I'm not in the mood for doing that, there are plenty of other games for driving around, doing odd jobs, and messing with the AI... they even include several radio stations to choose from.
