I will also point out in case you didn’t already know, the parts in the garage are all in pretty bad shape you will find quite soon that you will need to replace items such as clutch disc, pistons, crankshaft, rocker shaft, gearbox, etc... until the first total rebuild has been done, I wouldn’t rely too much on the satsuma

4 things need to be tuned right (engine wise) or the car will not run right.
1.timing is lined up on the marks (timing chain)
2.carb tuning
3.distributor tuning
4.valve train tuning (rocker arms)
these are things i do IRL to cars/trucks
as lukeh1709 said i do recommend getting the head gasket replaced. it will be the first thing to leave you stranded.
If when you turn the key you hear the starter but the engine won’t start then the distributor is too far out of time set it to about half way along the slider (down the side where the screw is). I usually find this to be a good starting point. To tune the distributor, move it in either direction until the high pitch squeal stops.
