The 260 can easily get 60fps
The 580 gets about 39 fps
I have an old potato:
750 TI Asus edition 2gb
AMD Athlon X4 860K Quad core ~3.80Ghz
8gb of ram
Before last update game was running ~22FPS at home area (where a lot oh physical objects are, including fully built Satsuma) and ~30FPS outside the home area.
Now I get about ~25-28FPS at home area, but haven't been outside yet, I just launched the game to take a look at how much FPS do I have at home since the last update.
What I mean by this is that even on a 10-year-old Intel Quad Core processor with an already slow and old GTX 750 GPU, neither the CPU nor the GPU load goes over 50% or so when playing the game.
I don't know whether this is universal, though, and it would be interesting to hear if other people get close to maximum loads when playing the game. However, with that ancient CPU and only about 50% load I get around 35-40 FPS at the start of the game when going outside the house with reflections and shadows on but house shadows disabled.
Core i5-4670
8GB DDR3
2x GTX970 4GB
installed on SSD
Result: no clue what fps I'm getting but it's butter smooth
My laptop
Core i7-8550U
16GB DDR4
GTX1050 Max-Q
installed on SSD
Result: runs like crap
My old laptop
Core i7-4702MQ
8GB DDR3
GTX 760m
installed on SSD
Result: Runs ok, but not smooth
Work pc
Core i5-4590
8GB DDR3
Intel HD4600
installed on SSD
Result: runs like crap
gpu:NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030 (GP108-300) [NVIDIA]
ram:8GB
i get fps:27-40
in experimental branch with 20 mods running i have all graphics settings to maximum and hdr on
there are also huge fps peak (low fps) on low graphics settings when i return or leaving home at night with car lights on
results:it runs in beraly playable but i have the prototype i5 :( i whish i had more advanced versions on it like 5400K
I get about 40-50% load on all four cores, checked with a couple different diagnostics tools. I have reported this since right around when the game was released, but I don't remember seeing anyone else post such load data, so I cannot even confirm if it is the case for everyone or not. Despite this, the game *does* put full load on the cores in the main menu with the spinning car, but once actually in the game, the load drops by about a half.
To me it seems the game isn't, strictly speaking, very demanding of either CPU or GPU, but for some reason it fails to utilize them properly.
16GB DDR3 1600
Radeon R9 280X
40~55 FPS before building the Satsuma
20~30 FPS after the Satsuma is assembled
Both CPU&GPU usage never go above 50%.
Thank you.
I just checked for the Nth time myself, and when in the game, *every* core of a quad core Q9400 has about 40-50% load, the GTX 750 about 50-60%. When in the menu, the GPU load is close to 100% while the CPU load for every core reaches 70%+. When I'm completely out of the game, they all drop to about zero, so practically no load is from any background process.
