Van glitch

Okay sooo, its been 5 weeks in game time and the van has not showed up once in the entire game. What the heck? Please help me.

You can do 2 things 1. Wait, it's random 2. Cheat it with MSCEditor.
You can't do anything more. Nothing speed up things, maybe reading the note on the fridge but that has not been confirmed.

It's not random (not entirely anyway), and the note on the fridge does absolutely nothing.

This is how the uncle works (objectively, no speculation):

You have to install either of these three parts to the Satsuma: Driver seat, engine block or rear left trail arm.

After that a timer starts of approx. 30 minutes (2000 seconds) to 1.5 real-time hours (5000 seconds).

When that timer is done, it waits until the player is 50 length units away from Uncle's yard, then it will spawn the van.

So it's random.

Only the timer length (still within the limit of 2000-5000 seconds), which is only a small part of the logic.

Thanks for the info Fredrik. Was pretty sure myself there were conditions required to trigger it, as I went over two months without him spawning, and it happened within a week of when I got around to building the Sats.

Nope, the conditions I listed is the only thing that'll spawn the uncle for the first time, after that it's purely timer- and distance-based.

I went to the island twice, 1st time to put trap in, and second time to check trap. Then took the tractor to shops and sent the order for computer. Next day uncle appearred. I used his van once then he took it back. I think when you make the first mail order he appears, I'm new to the game, so I dont think is time based( one game week passed), I had not done any jobs at this point either.

Thats after uncle's loose his license. you can get the van before lended by himself parked outside his house.

I did have the drivers seat installed, so it's more like a timer from then. Some have reported building the whole car and still no uncle, but that sounds like a bug :)
