possible broken waterpump
so i turned on the engine and everything was fine. Then as I was waiting for it to warm up, it started squeaking. I checked the alternator belt and noticed the water pump pulley was not moving. is the pulley, the alternator belt, or the water pump that is the problem?

buy new belt , totally means that your water pump has been completely worn out and you need to replace it at fleetarin , afterwards install your alternator belt and fill the coolant level as changing water pump will remove all the coolant from radiator

EDIT: the alternator belt just broke.

Sounds like your water pump is seized up. It stopped the moving, car kept running, the belt was getting dragged across the pump till until it couldn't take it anymore, and snapped.

Yep, just how it happened for me too. The water pump is in a poor state when you start the build, and soon fails. I am not sure if part wear values are randomised, but in my latest game the editor showed the gearbox to be the most worn out (which is bad as it costs a lot to get a new one). But having blown the engine by a missed gear in a previous save I decided it was worth the cost!

So basically i have the same problem rn but this happened randomly right after pulling the car out of fletarri (i did select repair all engine parts) but the problem is that fletari has no spare water pump to buy what do i do?

So i fixed the problem by putting the broken pump on fletari's desk and i could buy another one
