Inspiration behind the game's location

Hello!
I was just wondering (While I should have been asleep already by now... Late night thoughts), is the location where the game takes place inspired by any specific area in Finland?

A bit of googling of the different names on the map did not give me much... Only that there are three villages/places called something akin to "Peräjärvi", all of which are by a lake (Really though, there are a bilion lakes in Finland, so no wonder xD)
Loppe found a single town too, but again, no hints of similarity with the game's map that I have printed out in front of me right now.

Would be nice to be able to maybe visit the place IRL when I get to Finland one day.

Nope. It's like how San Andreas in GTA:SA isn't real but more or less mirrors bits of California and Nevada.

The game is supposed to take place somewhere in the Ostrobothnia (Pohjanmaa) region of Finland, although it's not based on any exact municipality or area. Some map elements are taken from Finnish geography or built environment in general (well, at least the ski jumps - I don't think any jumps quite that big exist anywhere in Ostrobothnia(?)).

The map area in the game is part of a fictional municipality called Alivieska ("Lower Vieska"), which probably would be located somewhere close to the real life Ylivieska ("Upper Vieska"). I'd say that might be one of the better clues of the exact location, if someone wanted to pinpoint the place. Remove spaces and it will work. All the spaces.
In street view you might even see familiar post boxes

Translated the real names in case anyone with autism is interested. ;p
The lakes name is "home lake" and players home is in "birch bay"
The island is "priest islet".
Grandma lives in "the ridge" or "Broad hill"
Fleetari is hard to translate, but far fetched it could be "ret@rd hill" or "obeyed hill"

yes anyways this topic is interesting i'd like to visit the places sometime. although i can't find the player's home, the sports field, where grandma is supposed to live, and i can't find ret@rd hill or obeyed hill... i'm probably just blind.
