bring car to repair shop and buy Engine adjustment and Motor tuning.

Wheel alignment as well.

Cost you 3510mk

A more complex answer: the tinking is coming from a misadjusted valve, which may also cause the backfire. There are guides for tuning the car, but the gist of it is finding the 'sweet spot' of each valve where it doesn't clink and runs reliably.

Backfiring is caused by wrong A/F ratio (air-fuel), you need to tune your carburator. Start the car, wait until it gets up to temperature (the temp gauge's needle is fully upright), release the choke, pop the hood, grab the screwdriver and find the screw on the carb. Now look at the exhaust, the color of the smoke. If it's white, the mixture is too lean, if it's black, it's too fat. Adjust the screw until the smoke turns light-grey/transparent (it will be obvious). You can manually rev the engine using the throttle spring on the carb (so you can see the exhaust). Alternatively, buy and install the mixture gauge from the catalogue. Adjust the screw until it is in the green (14.9-ish).

The "ting-ting-ting" sound means the pistons are bashing against the valves in your engine because their open/close timingins are wrong, which is very bad! To adjust your valve timings, unscrew and remove the rocker cover. Start the engine and listen. If it's doing the ting-ting-ting, grab the screwdriver and find the screws on the cylinder head, each cylinder has two, an intake valve and exhaust valve. Now adjust the screws until you can no longer hear the pinging sound. If the engine stalls or you can't make the pinging go away, reset the valves by turning them in either direction 20+ times, then adjust in the opposite direction 10 times, that should be a safe setting, and adjust a few clicks in either direction to find the sweet spot. Later you can adjust the timings to gain more torque or more fuel economy.

Holy necromancy...

You do realize this is a 6 year old post, right? The game has changed a LOT since then, so this info is probably horribly outdated.

surpising the carburator info actually still holds up to this day. but yea the necromancy is sometimes annoying.
