Quick question about tires.
I'm guessing that it's like this. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Stock - Awful on purpose because that's Stocksuma in a nutshell.
Standard - Good all around, but not great at anything.
Gommer Gobra - Better all around than Standard, but still not specialty.
EURopeiska Rally - Great on dirt, awful on road.
Sutasiko Slick - Great on road, awful on dirt.

Is that right? Evidently Lindell won't pass stock tires anymore, which really makes complete sense to me with how terrible they are (it's still questionable that he'll pass the stock radiator, which can't even get to town in the first place without overheating), but I'm mostly asking if Gommer Gobra is better than Standard, or if they're the same just because.

The rally tires don't suck on road as much as the slicks do on dirt. Gommer Gobra is definitely better than standard and a good upgrade to make to you car.

Also, is the cost for refitting tires all at once, or per tire? Like if you drop the stocks on his desk and tell him to switch them to Gommer Gobra, will that be 2,110 mk or 8,440 mk? And also, if you buy rims from the catalog, what will they come as? Do you get only the rims, or do they come with tires too? If so, are the tires Standard, Gommer, or something else?

Ok, so the cost from the repair shop is for all four tires, the rims from the catalog come just as rims, nothing else. I hope that helps.

Rally are fine on road (asphault) but will just hold you back from reaching top end speed.
Also try a mixed setup and see how that does for you; like 2x Rally in Front, 2x Slicks in Rear; or vice-versa

I started over so the car isn't built anymore. Right now my goal is just to refit the stock rims to Gommer so that I can pass inspection and not have a car that's over-eager to skid into a ditch.

One more question about Fleetari, not so much the tires. I often see it suggested to get the engine parts repaired before assembling the engine. What's the cheapest way to go about doing this?
the cheapest way to recondition all the engine parts is definitely to get them repaired, BUT they get reapired only to 50% condition afaik, so it's always better to buy new parts in the long run.

all the tyres are good on roads except the stocks, only the rally tyres are really good on dirt but the standard road tyres and Gommers will hold their own if they're not too worn. i think rn only the Gommer tyres will pass an inspection, although it was intended that the standard tyres would also pass, they don't regardless of condition, like all the other tyres.

Can confirm this. Was pretty surprised after reading thread after thread that you just need standard road tires from Fleetari to pass inspection, but here I am, an hour ago, failing the inspection because of tires. Haven't tried Gommers yet, have to pick up the car tomorrow. Standard road tires are not sufficient anymore, it seems. Doesn't really make sense, but oh well.

Did you take the wheels off, and put them on Fleetari´s desk?

Really? The mechanic can't change the tires himself? Well, that explains it. Thanks.

The tires are the least of all evils on that since they're simple to take out. It's one thing to strip apart your entire engine to replace the pistons, but you can just pop the tires off without having to rip anything else apart.

I think I already know the answer, but do you need to take the old parts along to get the new parts, or are they just deleted when you get replacements?
