How to use the Sledgehammer?

I bashed in the front of my car something fierce and I have no idea how to use the Sledgehammer to fix it. Halp?

You don't use the sledgehammer to fix it. Side note: The sledgehammer works the same way as the axe. Use with F, then hold right click to swing.

No, I know how to use the Sledgehammer. I remember reading that the Sledgehammer was to fix body damage somewhere, but I don't remember where.

I see people joke about it, You could attempt to pound out the dents but will probably make them worse.
