If I'm remembering correctly, the uncle you borrow the van from is something like a builder. I'm wondering if later down the road there will be an option to pay him off to fix the house and not tell your parents :steammocking:

Just as you can't break out of jail, you can't repair your house. This game is supposed to have "game over" situations in it.

It would only make sense if you had to wait until the end of the summer or maybe even a few years to get a new house, especially considering that this is rural Finland and that buying another home would probably be too expensive/difficult for toplessgun to implement/make your parents mad at you. Every service that the house provides is replaceable except for the ability to fill the kilju bucket with water (though that could be replaced with another drinking water source in the future); cut wood instead of using the sauna; swim instead of using the shower; drink beer instead of tap water. If your house burns down, it's time to move in with Uncle Teimo and reevaluate your routine.

Or live at the pigman's shack, use the cottage's sauna at the island and fill the kilju bucket at the lake.
The only things you really loose are the phone (wich can be fixed by installing the mobile phone mod and leaving it at the pigman's shack so it acts like a normal phone), the map markings, which also aren't very important and the ability to use a water tap to drink water.

The phone is not necessary, but it is handy. The sewage wells still fill up and the parts still arrive. You just have to kind of "guess" when those events happen. Also I agree the only "game over" scenario at this time is dying with perma death turned on.

A long jail sentence is pretty much a game over and designed as such by the dev. A game over naturally doesn't mean that you couldn't just load a previous save.

Nice, you should try to win the house from the gambling guy, then at least you could have a roof over your head and a garage to store your tools and such.
