Adjusting racing carburetor?
So all I can see is two screws on the carburetor, do I need to twist them to adjust the air/fuel mix value? Or is there something else to do?

Yes. If you have the A/F ratio gauge you can start the car, get it to operating temp and tune the screw until you find your correct ratio

Got some bad news for you - there are 4 screws. Check out this thread: http://steamcommunity.com/app/516750/discussions/6/1474221865183264243/

@meesha, are you sure? There's 4 nuts to bolt it to the engine, but there's only 1 screw to adjust A/F ratio. Am I missing something here?

You got one screw for A/F in stock and dual carbs. The racing one, which costs about ~7k mk, has 4, one for each cylinder. Take a look in MSC Editor, it has 4 values.

Let's say that im too lazy to adjust the screws myself, is there a way to do it with the editor, since there are 4 values is there an optimal number to put them on?

The dev says it is dangerous because it is not the exact A/F value but only a base for further calculations, but you can just put the same number to all values and start to tune afterwards, all 4 screws for the same number of turns.

In my case the final numbers in msce are about 16.6, which ends up in 13.2 A/F.

Indeed, some uses of MSCeditor aren't really cheating... but that... not only is it cheating, the more you mess with the values, the more likely you are to encounter bugs. It somehow weakens the glue that holds virtual reality together...

Yeah, there are those among us who'd like to play the game as intended. If I tune the carb with the afr gauge and a scredriver and it blows up and erases my permadeath save, that's entirely on me.

The thread Meesha pointed to had some pretty fair info in it about tuning it. Thanks for that!

No threadpoops please. This was information that I needed, and further ON TOPIC conversation does not need to be justified, lest we just open new, mostly useless threads that rehash the same info. Thanks, but no thanks.

Speaking of on topic, I wonder why these valve settings have to be such drudgery in setting right. The whole "60 clicks down, 30 something up" I've never been a fan of. Granted, I still haven't successfully tuned the high-end carburetor, but tuning the other two with the engine running to achieve proper afr is kind of rewarding in itself when it is done.

Speaking of which, I tuned this, no editor, no problem the other day. Ran a constant 13.9 afr. I'm curious if, say you have half the settings ten clicks too high and half too low, does it run the afr the steady average, but damage your engine slowly?
