poo truck wont suck

Anyone had this problem? I put the hose into the septic sysem and turn on the pump and it wont start sucking. I move the pipe up and down and it sucks a little but the gague wont go up. i have also turned the truck on and off and it still wont suck. ive lowered it in slowly while the pump is going and same problem. Anyone know how to fix it?

I presume the tanker isn't full? Otherwise, make sure the pipe is all the way into the well. It won't suck if the end of the pipe is not immersed.

I've noticed that if the well isn't full and you start emptying it, it won't suck the last bits in and you won't get paid. Would be better if you could still empty wells that werent full but get paid less for them. And I hate how the hose breaks now, I never had problems with it before

Some say that you cannot empty a septic tank where you have not already had the phone call from the home owner, so even if it is full, you cannot take the poo.

I think you can take the poo, but only if the tank is full, (which is stupid), but if you have not had the call from the home owner, you won't get paid.

I've not really tested it, (or thought about it really), since i only collect from the houses that request a poop removal. But i do like to tip it all over the guy or empty it back onto his drive or garden.

If he doesn't pay, or you cannot pump the poo out. punch the owners lights out and throw him down his own poo hole, it is strangely satisfying! Shame you cannot do that to your neighbours IRL! Even whilst the owner was offering me money, I'd still take a pee on him. try it with the shopkeeper, or in the pub, stand on the counter and pee in his face.

I used to pump the poop both ways, either have the pump running or not and drop the pipe in, then turn the pump on, I don't ever remember it failing to work either way for me.

Where it would fail, was on getting the pipe out of the hole. Best to drive away slowly until the pipe was all the way out, but the pipe would often break off and fall into the poop hole. If this happens, the pipe will reappear after you next save and reload the game, so don't worry about it.

*Make sure the tank is not full and that the empty/release valve is closed.
*Alternately, restart the game and STEAM, check local file integrity & look for any patches to the game.
*Finally, if still not working uninstall and re-install the whole game. You won't lose your game save as you should have it in the cloud.

The main problem is that thee is no-where to take the poo, in reality, it would NOT go to the tip! But it would perhaps be sold to local farmers, (yuk - I wouldn't eat the farm produce / veg if they put human waste on it). I think it could be best to go to / be sold to a methane production plant.

Alright, this thread came up in search for this problem, so I'll leave my solution here.

You have to start the pump before dropping the hose into the hole. So, the sequence is attach the hose -> start the pump -> drop the hose. Works 100% of the time.
