Longer coil springs too bouncy?
I found and installed the new longer springs, and it's just a nightmare to drive. Any little bump in the road will unsettle the car to the point where the gentlest of correction maneuvers will get the rear end bouncing and send me into a tree. Does anyone know if there are also improved shocks to help calm the springs? Otherwise, they just seem unusable for now.

no the spring are for getting better tracktion on the road

I get why they should give better traction, but they would need to be paired with stronger shocks to dampen the more forceful oscillations.

Lifted tail was a nightmare tuning fad in the nineties. Garbage handling but hey, all the cool dudes did it.

Is it work installing them?

I guess if you're not planning on driving much on the dirt roads and you're only interested in looks. But I tried rallying with them and died both times.

And now its the oposite. Lowered (cut coils) making the car even less drivable :P But it slides and drift easy...

Longer coil springs do not give better preformance. They're in the game because it was a popular look in 1990's finland.

The shifted weight to the front-end may make straight-line acceleration and braking easier, and turn-in response a little faster, but turning + lateral grip, and grip on bumps and uneven surfaces will be significantly worse.

It's not uncommon for race vehicles to lift their rear end for more front-end weight and grip, but the important detail is the weight balance, *front* suspension and overall damping is tuned and modified to make it work properly. Not something we can do on the satsuma.

The only benefit drive-wise that I found with long coil springs is the added ride height makes the muffler and fuel tank have a smaller chance of falling off during a crash.

The downside is they make the car handle like ass.

Driving without coils makes the back end jolt side to side like crazy.
Driving without the shocks made the car bounce around like crazy.
Driving without either makes the car just shake a little bit and land hard.

But car is still controllable and can reach high speed? I would like to drive lowered car.
It's not too bad. There can be some glitches when you hit bumps. I cant imagine the crash you'd have going straight over the train rails without the ramp thing. Also if you crash the muffler will fall off easier.
