I built the Satsuma... And it doesn't start.
So I followed Necronomicron's guide on building the car up, pretty sure everything is installed right, yet the car doesn't start. I looked up a few discussions and learned to tighten the fan belt, but it appears to have done Jack Squat (absolutely nothing). Before anyone asks, I have actually bought the game, I did NOT pirate it. I also must note that comments can only do so much for me, so would anyone be willing to watch a broadcast to better get the picture? If all else fails, I feel like that would help.

Don't take offense but, did you put gas in it? I sat there for almost 20 minutes dumbfounded as to why my car wouldn't start, until I walked around the side and saw the gas can I set next to the filler.

I tightened the bolts on the fuel tank, and filled it up. Doesn't start.

Well, if you got all the parts in, make sure you pull the choke out and that it's in neutral, don't be afraid to give it some gas during start. If it still wont start try saving and reloading the game, I've heard of people having fully built cars just stop working from some kind of glitch and this fixed it.

If you upload your save file someone could take a look at it.

Then just use any file share site like filedropper etc.

Sounds a bit risky.

Sounds a bit risky.

Risky? Do you expect someone to install virus in your save file or something?

Try this: First of all you have to fill your car with fuel, Coolant, motor oil and clutch fluid. Make sure to fully fill every single one of them. Also there are 3 holes for clutch fluid. Make sure you fill up all of them. I hope you also bought fan belt and put it on your engine. After you've done that just get in your car and put gear in neutral, then try to start it. Give it a little bit of gas if it doesn't want to start. If that doesn't work, restart your game (first save then quit and then come back) and try again. If this doesn't work you probably didn't tighten your screws somewhere, probably in your engine. Since it doesn't start I guess it could perhaps be something with starter or with pistons - just a guess.

But seriously. Save file would be helpful if you want us to help you.

Yes it is. Someone might find something wrong in your save. And...That's about how risky it gets. I know. Scary :theta:

So. I've watched the video. By starter I meant the real starter. Starter is located on the opposite site of where you drive (In the engine ofcourse). Starters task is to start the engine. By the sound it makes I assume starter is pretty much fine:

Starter picture: https://www.google.si/search?q=starter&biw=1383&bih=833&source=lnms&tbm=isch&sa=X&ved=0ahUKEwjpuri1lZ_SAhXmIpoKHd39BxcQ_AUIBigB#imgrc=Z0vV-YII_xbOrM:

You did 1 mistake tho. I don't really have exact idea of how much fan belt should be tightened but I am pretty sure it must be tightened all the way to the right (+1, -1 - you can adjust that later if you encounter any problems). Just make sure it doesn't "squeak". After you've done that you MUST (you forgot that) tighten the screw! As I said you forgot to tighten the screw with your screwdriver after you tightened the fan belt. After you do that try again.

After you've done that, focus on your pistons and piston rod. I am pretty sure one of the screws on it aren't well tightened. Your starter sounds okay in the video and it is trying to start your car but something is preventing it to start your engine. It might be one of the pistons that aren't tightened well or just one of the components around the piston. I am more than 80% sure that this is the problem. I would also really want you to send me your save file so I can take a look at it and just tell you what's wrong. At least that would be the easiest way to do it. I have to take a closer look. By that I mean I have to check every component in your engine to make sure that everything is okay. If you trust me more or less, save file is located here:

C:\Users\"User"\AppData\LocalLow\Amistech\My Summer Car

And I am sorry for my english.

I'm browsing my local files, what file contains the save? Or am I overthinking it?

That is the location. Go under your user and then there is folder called AppData, after that there is few local files - Click on LocalLow, then just copy and paste your amistech folder. Basically save files are called: default, graveyard, items, mehsave, trophies, options.

defaultES2File
^actual save file

items
^loose items storage/placement within your saved game world

options
^all your in-game options/keymapping

The rest of the files are not needed.

Also there IS a sweet spot for the fan belt; you don't want it too loose or too tight.

If you would like a saved game where the Car is built (just stock, no racing stuff installed yet) and runs fine, already been tuned at mechanic, gear ratio 3.70

Here you go:
