Just bought the custom paint job by artist

from the mechanic and lo and behold it was an all white paint job...guess i didnt look into that one first unfortunately. Im guessing thats for custom skins? How does thats work and how to install them?

There's a file in the Images directory of the game.

Now im assuming the template.png file is located in my steam directory folder under the game file?

Or thereabouts. I have a custom Steam directory.

Yes whatever custom skin u end up using, make it "car.png"

I did and picked up the template bre livery but the right door panel isnt covered by it. Any ideas why?
I labled it car.png

I was thinking about that, deleting and trying again. ill give it a shot and let you know

No, I verified game cache and reloaded the skin and still have the same problem, weird

Then try a different PNG image.

DO NOT pay mechanic to fix car body parts; such as doors, panels, those types...
If you repair these, they will be replaced with solid color parts, to which u'll either have to repaint yourself with spray, or pay that high $ price again for Custom Artist Paint to reload the CAR.PNG fully/properly.

To fix body damages, delete the mesh and reload the game.

Once u have paid once for Custom Artist Paint, you should have to anymore.
You can then change skins all u want by swapping out other images via the CAR.PNG

Thats what it is then, after i had it painted the first time i went back to have the door fixed. Thats a bummer

Nevermind I found where it was located. So I just delete the entire file meshsave.txt ?

Yes. The game will generate a new one.
