With how the game is made 90% using Playmaker FSMs, i wouldn't expect the framerate to get any better, the sheer quantity of them on the Satsuma is what pushes fps low for systems with weaker potentially clockspeed kneecapped processors
If just the simulation scripts on the Satsuma were rewritten in native C# script that may significantly improve game performance without having to touch much else honestly, better question is whether or not its worth remaking the Satsuma so late on in development
(I suspect the roadcar AI are also severely limited by what's able to be done in those Playmaker FSMs?)
nothing against anyone here, Playmaker is just a bit messy with how it handles things behind the scenes and that overhead adds up quickly with just how much of it is used in MSC
But I am willing to accept that as I am not coder or professional game developer, the quality of end product cannot be compared to those that are made with higher standards. I am fully aware of my limitations and try to do the best of what I have. Due to these reasons I wanted to keep the price of the game relatively low as well.
I am personally VERY happy with the game as it is, so no major changes in the future. Of course I still try to fix everything I can.
And as I've always said, if the game were bug free, it would be very boring...
Because MSC is a game where you can enjoy unexpected accidents and happenings.
(It's personal impression)
I mean, come on, how many other games are there where simply trying to get into a car can potentially launch you into space, then back to the ground unharmed?
