In the game, though, the bottles will say "Empty" for brake fluid, but the motor oil and coolant does not(that I've noticed, I don't pay much attention).
I mean like the brake and clutch master cylinders, engine oil levels and coolant in the radiator. :)
But thanks for the tip about the bottles at least. That has been an issue I have had, wondering if any were empty when holding them over the different filler caps and getting no level bar on the UI. Maybe too they could have a percentage display on the name tag for the bottles and jerry cans as well, instead of just saying empty. :)
I'd suggest including the oil dipstick on the engine block as a part that you actually have to click-and-hold to check level, though. Sort of like how you can click-and-hold the throttle linkage to rev the engine.
Since the brake and clutch reservoirs are translucent plastic, you should be able to check those just by mousing over.
The radiator, I'd suggest a mouseover to check coolant level as well, but only if the fill cap is off. (Actually, come to think of it, I've never opened the radiator cap when the engine is hot, but if faceful-of-steam is not a way to die in the game, it certainly should be.)
