Aftermarket Speedometer

I think it would be cool to have an aftermarket speedometer, that would go up to like 250 kmh (or above...?) So you could tell your speed better if you're going for a top speed car, instead of having to guess or rely on mods :D

What I would really love is a digital speedometer (something like this https://encrypted-tbn0.gstatic.com/images?q=tbn:ANd9GcTQCJS4H7KVHK6-RBkaahwQ5UyA2GJFmmKwPPKHQ6MRkLhAZn4i ), but I'm not sure if such things existed in '95.. I'd just be happy with any aftermarket speedometer we got that shows a speed higher than 160kmh.

+1, if we can't get a digital speedo, the stock one which would have been in the Satsuma "GT" which would have went to 240 or 200KMH would be nice :)

thats actually unrealistic
a digital gauge could be possible, but aftermarket only
Volkswagen had the digifiz, available from 1986
the significantly higher top speed doesnt make sense since the datsun cherry 120A has a top speed of 151kmh, the one in the game (100A) has 138kmh top speed in stock condition.

A possible mod that would fit in the time would be blue light.

The X1(R) Datsun Cherry had a 180KMH Speedo. I didn't just base the idea out of thin air y'know.

then why do we have the tachometer that goes up to 8000RPM when the X1-R had that one, and the stock 100A had the one that went up to 7000RPM.

X1 speedo would make a nice discovery item! As for other speed gauge options, I can't recall any significant aftermarket speedometers until GPS and CAN became ubiquitous. The one in the original post is a GPS unit, so that won't do in MSC setting.

Smiths instruments. Also Veglia, VDO etc. Loads for an enterprising young Finn to choose from. Some might even read approximately the right speed.
