Is juice really not thirst quenching...?

I have yet to meet a man who chugs an entire jug of fruit juice and then says "Man, now I'm thirsty"

I notice it will drop your Hunger bar considerably of all things but it won't touch your thirst bar.... you can't live off fruit juice, sure you get vitamins and crap from it but...

That just don't make sense.

Yeah basically Finnish juice concentrate is toxic.

It's pretty much sugar with just enough water added to make it liquid. So yeah, it'll make you thirsty.

So, is there a way to dilute into drinkable juice? that'd be neat.

I understand there's lots of additives and sugar but it's still interesting that so large amount of fluid does nothing to thirst, while five times smaller beer bottle decreases it a lot when it should actually dehydrate.

While beer is a diuretic (which is appropriately simulated by increasing the urine bar), it does quench thirst. Beer with a low alcohol content is not that far from isotonic, which is why people used to drink weak beer and mead while working in the fields back in the day.

Drinking juice concentrate like that in the game will make you thirsty IRL as your mouth is pretty much filled with sugar that you want to dilute.

Would be cool to be able to dilute the juice to actual concentrate in-game though, for the weird people who don't like beer. And/or add it to kilju for more flavour (and possibly higher price)
