Game Breaking: Stuck in Drive Mode

I drove to the pub and put my envelope in the mail box, got super drunk, got in my car, started to change the "enter driving mode" hotkey, it put me in drive mode, and now I'm stuck here. I can't exit drive mode, and I really don't feel like restarting my game and doing everything over again. This is most definitely a bug because it SAYS i'm in drive mode (gear indicator, control over blinkers, wipers, etc.) but I can't grab the seat belt, and my character isn't following the movement of the car. I open the car door and the car suspension sways - normally the camera follows the suspension of the car, however it's almost like I'm stuck in between drive mode and normal mode. Controls are locked. I can't even drive the car. Pedals and wheel don't move. Yes, I've double checked my bindings, yes I've reset them to default and still no luck.

I think it had something to do with me rebinding my keys while inside the car since there's no script/line of code that tells the game to disable keyboard input while the pause menu is open.

Which car is this? And do you have mods installed? And are you in Experimental?

Great! I hope this solves the problem! :) For the record, I don't have mods on, I was in the Satsuma, and I am in experimental.

I just rolled the update out so what happened to you should not happen anymore.

Hello toplessgun, I already bought the game on 3 different accounts and I'm having the same problem in all 3 games and on different Compaters.
The problem happens when I click F9 to enter driving mode. When steering mode is activated, the camera goes to another place, making it impossible to start steering any vehicle.
This probably started after a motorcycle crash, or because I was configuring the controller through Steam and was pausing the game in driving mode while configuring the controller. perhaps the fact of configuring keys may have started the bug.
This game is too good to be left without correction pats for so long.
Now I can no longer play i happily.
because of this bug I bought it 3 times on 3 different accounts.
but as I bought it on the same cpf I think the bug comes as a free gift now.
It's a shame if this isn't fixed, the game is so beautiful it's almost sad.
Anyway, at least I have the internet to watch others play.

mate, F9 is for the TV-Camera. you will need to assign it to be something else or somehow change the controls thought third-party software
