Unable to install the steering column

Building the Satsuma worked good a week ago but I died and now in new game I'm experiencing problems with installing the steering columns. The right -sign is showing like in any other parts but it justs drops the column to the floor. I have tried restarting the game and installing from multiple directions.

Did you install the steering rack first? If not, it won't have anything to attach to.

Sorry for using your topic but I have a similar issue, I was able to put the steering column in place but I just can't interact with the bolts, I tried every size of tool, I don't get what I'm doing wrong
