Still cannot make the custom radio station work
I have tried a great many things to make the custom radio work, and nothing has. When I try to use the custom radio station, all that plays is ads. And yes, I did wait for the ads to cycle quite a few times and for quite a while, but never did a custom song come on.

I converted all the songs to .OGG, placed them in the radio folder, named them correctly (track1, track2, etc) and also imported the songs, but all of that was to no avail.
I thought at first that maybe the file converter I was using was the culprit, but trying three other converters did nothing new. I then thought maybe the exact spelling of the track files was the issue, so I tried "Track1" and TRACK1" formats as well, but that also did not help. I then also tried mixing both those solutions, but still, nothing was working.

All of that, of course, means I have no idea what is preventing it from working, and I need help figuring it out. Also I did not have any issues with customizing the contents of the Images folder, so it is just the radio that is perplexing me.

Aee you using the right radio channel?

I am positive I am. Toiveradio is what it's called, according to the wiki. It is nothing but ads if you do not have custom songs installed. Even though I've gone through all the necessary hoops according to Topless Gun's tutorial, it is still just ads on that station. Haven't a clue what I must be doing wrong.
do you wait for all the songs to import? if they're not making the menu screen stutter as they're importing, then they're not importing.

Well I honestly was expecting it to not work the first time and I figured it would be a waste of my time to try and import a lot of them right out of the gate if they just weren't going to work anyway, so right now it's just the one. Somewhat as a test, if you will. Even then though, I click the import button and it imports quickly, and it appears to be loading all 99 radio "slots" even though I only have the one song that I'm trying to import. It does this quickly, and even if I wait on the title screen a little bit longer after it finishes there are still no custom songs.
try putting a few in to see if it's actually loading them, if it takes a bit longer and stutters the screen for a split second to load the first ones then they are importing but the game can't read the audio, try a few longer songs if you can. the more songs you have, the less likely it'll be that it'll play a commercial break too, it might be working fine.

It'll load all the slots when 'import' is pressed. You can normally tell if it's worked because it will take much longer per song if there is a file which can be used. There is a file in the guide section of the game which has a converter that'll take .mp3 files and convert them for you, changing the name, to the right quality and everything. Other than that, people say that the right sound quality or whatever it is needs to be taken into account. The converter does this I believe, but I don't know much about it myself.

And it shouldn't matter much about the name being 'TRACK1' or track1'. I'd go with all lower case, as that is what seems to appear when they are imported into the game. Make sure that if you have the file extension off, you're not adding a .OGG to the end, as that will effectively name the file 'track1.ogg.ogg'.
my ones are named all lower case, 160 kbps stereo .OGGs and they work fine, i coverted (with LameXP which is a dodgy ass program) and renamed them all in a separate folder and then copied them to the radio folder, and they all work fine, but sometimes it feels like the game doesn't load most of them and tend to pick a bunch of songs that it "likes" to play which changes each time i run the game.

Ah, so my assumption was correct. I had actually originally thought that the chances of the song playing were low, because they are lumped in randomly with the ads, so one of the many "experiments" I actually did try was having 25 tracks (all of them were the same song, just differently numbered) to try and increase the chance of it playing. However, that didn't seem to do anything.

I DO believe they are loading though. I have the fps counter on, and it's normally around 300 for me on the menu, and when I click "Import songs" it dips to 100 for a few split seconds and then returns to 300. So it SEEMS that it does load SOMETHING.

I will attempt to use that other file converter to see if using that one works better than the others I was using. I will get back to ya'll on that.

I used the guide here:

And it works now. It took a little bit of fiddling, but it works. Since I wasn't doing anything else wrong, I think it was the fact that I probably wasn't converting the files at the proper quality. I assumed higher quality was better, but that seems to not be the case. I thank you all for your help, and wish you all the best.
Good day.
