Steam Next Fest is here! And just like we promised, we’ve finished and released Chapter 2 in time for the festival! ːrbrb3ː

The demo of Love, Death & My Daughter now includes all of Chapters 1 and 2. If you’ve already played the previous version, welcome back! Come see how her story continues.

Content Update:

Here’s what you can find in this update:

• The complete story of Chapter 2: Keep piecing together those scattered memories and discover what she went through in the past. This time, you’ll also have more time to spend together and chat.

• Music, sound effects, and gameplay adjustments: We’ve added the music and sounds for this chapter, along with some adjustments to dialogue transitions and little details in the controls. Hopefully, these will make it easier to settle into the story.

Bug Fixes:

Since the previous demo release, we’ve fixed the following issues:

• Added safeguards to most of Live’s dialogue windows tied to the main story. This helps prevent an unexpected closure from leaving a window unable to reopen and blocking story progress.

• Fixed an issue in the secret sequence after the first treatment where the special cursor wouldn’t trigger the intended story events at certain screen resolutions.

Thank you to @飞行阳绒, @FFFF, and @CerberusC, and to all the friends and players who helped test the game or reported bugs in the Steam Community! ːpraisesunː
Your feedback has been a huge help in making the game better.

Of course, there are probably still things we’ve missed in this new version. If you run into a problem while playing Chapter 2, or have any thoughts about the story or controls, feel free to leave a message in the Steam Community. If you can also tell us where the problem happened, that would help a lot.

If you like our story, please do add the game to your wishlist. It means a lot to our little team of two. ːPEAKsaluteː

And once again, thank you for taking the time to play our game. ːhappy_seagullː

The full game will launch in mid-November as planned, free to play and open source.
