I have both the PC and the Switch version, and stairs are harder on Switch because the controls aren't quite as responsive sometimes. Currently the stairs on 1-2 on Switch are layed out much closer together than they are on the Steam version, but I was told in a different thread that a Switch patch is awaiting certification which will make the Switch version and Steam version of 1-2 match.
Keep at it, I went back to the Switch version after playing the PC version for about 4 hours and found the stairs on Switch to be easier than I thought they were at first.
Also, you could try using a wired controller on Swtich if you have one, to make sure there is no lag in the controls. Good luck!
By wired controller do you mean a Pro Controller, or will the Joy-Con Grip plugged into the system do the job?
The switch version seemed easier after I had played the Steam version quite a bit.
In my thread about stairs, one of the devs mentioned that when they were showing the game off at PAX they noticed the wireless controls sometimes had lag, so they switched them all to wired controls and that took care of the problem.
I got Runner 2 pretty cheap not too long ago and I just remember how much fun I had with it, so buying Runner3 for a decent price and supporting the Devs was a good idea to me. I was also late to the Super Meat Boy party and when I finally got around to it I also liked playing Commander Video there, it's just a funny lil character. Oh yea, back to the point. Runner 2, in my eyes, is just so much lighthearted fun for every type of skill-level a player may have, and it's just 14,99$ + way cheaper during sales.
Idk what it was with Runner3, maybe the fewer actual worlds and levels, and instead different routes in the same worlds...Runner 2 had some type of challenge achievements, idk what those were but I remember I loved trying to get them, also the dance achievement and trying the levels in different difficulties. Whereas Runner3 has no difficulty setting (only different routes)
So yea, I just know I'd recommend friends Runner 2 over Runner3.
