Hi! the game should support most controllers, and every tested model was fully operational. We unfortunately do not have access to your specific model to confirm whether it is supported or not.

You can try to follow these steps to make sure your gamepad controls are correctly configured :

  1. Before launching the game, disconnect all game controller devices (gamepads, joysticks, driving wheels...) except the one you want to use. Make sure your controller is plugged in when launching the game.
  2. On the startup screen, press F2 to open the Control Setup menu. Note that you can only use the keyboard to navigate this menu, with arrow keys and spacebar to select options.
  3. Select "Change Inputs" and press spacebar to display the controller options.
  4. Important : Make sure the option "Enable gamepad" is set to "On" (use the left/right arrow keys to change this option).
  5. Select "Setup Gamepad" and press spacebar to display the list of gamepad inputs.
  6. Select "Axis" and press spacebar. You will be prompted to press any direction on the desired control axis on your controller. For example, it can be a d-pad or any analog stick.
  7. If your controller is supported, once you press any direction on your d-pad or analog stick, the grey text next to "Axis" should display "Analog Stick" or "Digital Pad".
  8. You can then set each action (jump, item, etc.) in the same manner.
  9. To save all changes, select "Done", then select "Back", then finally select "Save and quit". Remember that you still must use the keyboard to navigate this menu, but you should be able to use your controller in-game and in all other menus.

If your input is not recognized at step 6, make sure to try every stick or digital pad on your controller. If none of them work and you followed all the previous steps, your controller is probably not supported by the game.

I'm having issues too now, I have tried both Xbox One & 360 controllers and niether works. They used to work great, however I haven't played the game for a number of months and got the itch to play again and much to my horror the controllers are not recognized at all even though they uesd to work great in this game.

Sorry to hear you have issues!
Nothing has changed in the controller support code since last year, and we've just tested the current available version and our Xbox 360 controller is still working correctly.
Make sure to follow the steps above to set it up! The game might recognize a different device as a controller and is causing conflicts. Also, plugging/unplugging controllers while the game is opened might cause unexpected behaviours, so make sure to plug your controller in before launching the game.

Nevermind, I just went into big picture mode and poked around and it turns out that steam doesn't think Juno has controller support in big picture mode and tried to apply its own configuration on the game which effectively turned my controller off. I just had to switch the big picture controller configuration to not force their Steam Controller settings on non-Steam Conroller's. The weird thing is that I wasn't even playing Juno in Big Picture mode and yet steam still forced its settings on my controller, however in past experiece when-ever Big Pic. mode is off its setting have no effect on regular steam functions. Anyways, this is a long winded response for "oops my bad"..thanks for your time and sorry to bother you, P.S. I love this game, and I hope that you will release future projects on Steam as well, I'm certainly a fan..

Do not worry, all feedback is important and we're glad to (try to) help.
And thank you, we also certainly hope to be able to release more games in the future!
