Is multiplayer still a issue? ( Steam )

[Paradox]

So i have been trying for a little while to get into a friends game, or to host the game. I start up the game, go to level 1 and wait. I have tried to stay at the character select screen and wait, and so have they. Nothing. I have zero games open when i go to the online menu, I can't just invite her to my game, they can't invite me to theirs either.

Is there something wrong with the online portion of the game? I have been looking around and trying to find stuff but info seems limited on this issue. Any help would be appreciated.

Things I have Already Done
Checked firewall.
Turned off Anti Virus / Firewall protection to test
made a rule to allow the game in my firewall just in case
Fresh Install of the game
Rebooted steam
Disabled / Enabled Epic Cross Play

I searched online for players last night and couldn't find any, so I started playing my own game and within 20 minutes or so someone joined my game. I think I was either on level 1 or 2 when they joined, so kind of quick I guess

Yeah there's definitely issues with online play. I've played multiple times with various people and every single time there has been serious problems Things like button prompts not going away, music not playing, every time my single player data gets deleted, not able to send messages, and some other stuff

Are you two on different platforms? If not, just go into the Friends List of the game before you start a new session

yes, multiplayer is still an issue.

do not buy this game if you planned on playing with friends online

i just joined a multiplayer game last night but i've noticed it takes a while for the game to be up before you can have a friend join. hope this helps.
