Can't unlock the other two characters?

I thought that each time you complete the game you got to unlock a character until all three were unlocked then you just got hats until they ran out. The first time I completed the game I unlocked Earl's mom. The next two times I beat it I only got a hat, and this last time I went up to the other two characters to see if hanging out by them would give me a prompt to pick but the only thing I could do is let the DJ give me a hat and end the game. Am I missing something?

hm I've been playing alone if that matters

if i walk up to them they don't speak, they just wave or whatever their greeting animation is, there's no prompt to pick them like there was the first time I beat it. Just went back a fourth time and still nada.

This is an odd one. You should be able to talk to them. I'm assuming obviously you can't pick them from the character select screen. But do they show up in your 'Unlockables' section on the main menu?

i am having this exact same problem. they are not in the unlockable character screen and not the character select screen to play the game. I have finished 3 runs and could not talk to them each time (unlocked flo but the other 2 have no prompt)

They show up as blacked out figures with ??? in the Unlockables section, and no I can't pick them from character selection

We will look into this. Something may have happened in 1.3.0 with unlocking characters. Sorry for the inconvenience guys.

I unlocked Geekjam first and beat the game 7 times on Normal, Random, and Random Hard alternating and it does not work. There is a bug that prevents me from talking to them to unlock the other two characters. I see the dev is working on it now but this really upset me. I don't want to wipe my save data or cheat to unlock Flo and Peabo.

It's already fixed, just hang tight. We may roll out a 1.3.1 soon but we were going to include this in our giant 1.4.0 patch
