House Is Locked

Hi all.

Not sure exactly which "chapter" I am in, but, I'll describe where I'm stuck:

I got done using the telegraph machine and was told that they need a picture of my father's Line Map. However, no matter where I try to enter the house, everything is locked and I can't get in.

This includes entering that area from the outside where you can enter directly into the basement and make your way to the darkroom. But if you try going up those stairs out of the basement to go up above, the door at the top is locked.

And, of course, all other entries into the house are locked, too; the little icon does not appear on-screen when I approach a door or a gate.

Is this a glitch that a patch hasn't fixed yet? Or have I not done something yet to trigger something in order for the house to be open & available to me?

I assume you're already the day after? Where it's foggy and darker outside. You can't go into the house because you only need the darkroom in this chapter. That's on purpose. I think the chapter "The Burial" is for the side quest. Because it's not very long. As soon as you triggered the raven, it ended. The best thing is to do the side quest at the beginning of Chapter "The Burial" like i did. I also stayed away from the little house where Martha is in so that the scene is not triggered.

I just finished the side quest, for me it worked. This is also what the internet says:
Be sure to complete the mission before going to the family crypt. Once you return many of the steps will become difficult, if not impossible, due to the conditions at the villa.

And you also have to use the boat in the quest. This is what it says on the internet:
This step must be done in either "The Burial" or "The Graveyard."

Look in your saves in the game which chapter you are , maybe it's because of that. Hope this helps you :)
