Stuck: Cannot enter house to photograph military map [SOLVED]

Hi.
I've just done the telegraph bit (communicated with the partisans using Morse code) and now I have to go take a photo of the map on the wall in dad's study ... But I cannot get back into the house. All the doors/gates are closed and locked. Yes, the cellar door is open, so I have access to the dark room and mom's workplace at the bottom, but the door at the top of the staircase leading up from there is locked as well. I don't see any way to proceed to that map to take the photo.
Am I missing something, or is it a game issue?

You will have to progress in the main story and then the doors will open again.

I did the quest later in the game like you but wasn't able to finish because of a bug. I think you will have time to complete it. Just keep going as far as you can each time until you reach a stumbling point.

Otherwise if your saves are intact you can just replay from an earlier time and go through the quest in one shot.

Thank you, again. I was considering loading older saves, but decided to stop for now. I will have a go after some sleep.

You probably won't be able to finish the quest in your current save, if you are at the point in the story that I think you are. You'll most likely have to go back to an earlier checkpoint to get it done. I don't think this has been fixed as I've seen no mention of it in the patch notes.

Darn, if only I could load a save (completely bugged for me) it is suggested that you can complete the quest when you need to use the bike to go to the church
Apparently the map opens up again at this point but I can't verify that myself.

Me, I did a replay and tackled the photos and telegraph as soon as I could. The game could really benefit from having one more day added in before all hell break's loose just to give you a chance to look around and explore.

I'm not so sure about that. It was at this point in the game that I was finally able to enter the house again and photograph the map, but when I tried to enter the forest to find the weapons cache--the next stage of the quest line-- I was just automatically turned around again at the edge of it.

Yes, that is correct but I think when you go through the gates with your bike when the story line shifts and your main story has a new objective, then you can go into the woods.

Again I can't confirm w/o replaying the whole game : (

The best way though is to tackle the quest sooner than later.

I've progressed through the story as much as I can without entering the villa and I'm still locked out for no apparent reason. I even tried to replay an older save slot. Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Oops. I can just say I had to play quite a bit before I could access the map. In my game I was stuck on Lapo's quest, but I still had to go to the White Lady's island, so that's the storryline that I pursued. It was a relatively long time before the villa was open again. The dark room is still available, so maybe that's a place to go also.
