How scary is this game?
I am the kind of gamer who avoids horror games like the plague.. It is just I played Town of Light few years ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. I am okay with horror games as long as they don't involve jump-scares (Not exclusive to noticeable ones, doors shutting close loudly behind me is a jump-scare in my book) or some kind of entity hunting me throughout the map.

To those who played it, can you confirm it doesn't include any of the above? It would be appreciated if you somehow can explain its "horror" tag.

Kindly keep it spoiler-free, please..

You don't need to worry about jumpscares or anything. It's more the atmosphere :)
No senseless hunting throughout the map :D

As nocturnal pointed out - this is much more about 'creepy atmosphere and horror at situations' than jump scares or being chased by giant spookies!

Though note there are some 'running through and endless forest' type settings - nothing is exactly chasing you but if you're sensitive to chase type feelings that may be something to note!

Also thank you nocturnal, spotted you dropping some useful info to folks this evening and its much appreciated!

It's not too bad! It's more so the atmosphere that is creepy and sometimes it can be dark and makes you think something is going to jump out at you, if you know what I mean. Some chasing moments like Gary mentioned but it's not incredibly scary.
